In Loving Memory of Leroy Dog aka "King" aka "Leroy Rooster"

Last week our beloved livestock guardian dog and companion, Leroy, transitioned from this life to the next. Leroy passed away suddenly with his last moments in our arms (likely by stroke) and did not undergo prolonged suffering. Leroy was adopted to the Mint Creek family when he was ~ 2 yrs old so he lived to around 13 years old this year. A dear friend to farm team and community over the years, Leroy absolutely loved to ride along in our farm vehicles and offer company the whole day. If you open the door, he would jump in! Leroy was a dedicated poultry guard dog, and would often guard the chickens or turkeys. Always eager for a head scratch and a cuddle, Leroy will be remembered for his gentle spirit and affectionate nature. We miss you, sweet Leroy!
