What Makes our Lamb Different

Our grassfed lamb chops are raised in Illinois on certified-organic prairie pastures.

There is a reason Mint Creek is known for its lamb. We've had over 30 years of learning and improving on sustainable farming practices to optimize the health and well-being of our sheep flock.

Our lambs are grassfed from birth on 225 acres of certified-organic perennial pasture. They also receive fermented okara as a probiotic/prebiotic supplement (a high-fiber soy ferment produced locally and artisanally by Phoenix Bean Tofu). Additionally, they receive an organically-approved mineral salt supplement to ensure robust immune health, helping balance out any naturally occurring mineral deficiencies in the soil, resulting in the most nutrient-dense meat. Finally, to optimize tenderness, digestibility, and nutrition, our lamb meat is dry-aged five to six days.

Give our local, pasture-raised, organically-fed lamb chops a try for an easy, satisfying, and nutritious weeknight dinner or highlight chops for a special occasion!
