Despite its’ name, Grumpy Goat Cheese is very approachable and works great as a bold element on a cheese plate or paired with sweet fruits and roasted vegetables.
This cheese is from Nordic Creamery, made by award-winning Cheesemaker Al Bekkum and his family. Bekkum Farmstead (Nordic Creamery) is in Westby, Wisconsin within Vernon County's lush, green hills and valleys known as the Coulee Region. This un-glaciated land is recognized for its fertile soil and exceptional grazing land making their cheese and butter second to none. Bekkum family members are involved in raising the happy cows and goats that produce some of the best milk in the area.
